There might be a congestion in xhr calls here.

Maybe you could consider loading playlist in async sequences, using Axios maybe ?

mm, i think the bottleneck is in the server. 23rd was when we launched the festival (cinemigrante), so it could have been that - is this still happening? GAE gets expensive....
